Healing is not Linear
It takes a holistic approach, looking at all aspects of a person
Why the pillars are our focus? We realized that there are two things that happen. One, people have no clue where to start OR Two, they go to therapy that has the possibility of only focusing on one aspect or they get diagnosed.
We found for full healing, the whole person needs to be looked at, each part that makes them a human. So we created the 5 main pillars. Under each pillar is a breath of tools and practices such as counseling, body movement, diet, hobbies, taking a look into the person’s life and more!
People need resources. they need guidance to change their behaviors and most of all they need people to stop classifying them as crazy and mentally ill and instead look at the person as a whole and get to the root. These pillars are extremely important to bring a person from being unable to speak about their emotions., settle their anxiety, do the laundry to giving them the tools to understand. how to process their emotions, get out of a panic attack, and learn to cook and care for themselves.
-
Physical
Trauma can have major implications on the physical body. A quick example of this: trauma can bring a lot of stress to the body, especially the nervous system. This, in turn, can cause migraines and other aches and pains in the body. Chronic pain is a big sign of trauma.
By using different styles of yoga, breathing, exercise and more we are able to help heal these parts of the body. In turn releasing from the physical body
-
Mental
Trauma can result in issues with mental health including anxiety, depression, multiple personalities, bipolar, borderline, etc. These are symptoms of trauma that impact individuals thought patterns.
By using practices such as journaling, breathing, meditating, counseling individuals learn how to take back control of there mind and thought patterns.
-
Emotional
Can you imagine going through trauma at a super young age and not having a safe space to cry or get angry? Trauma has the ability to create imbalances in emotions, meaning individuals don’t know how to talk about their emotions, release their emotions or on the opposite end, they are over the top with their emotions.
By using different journaling, breathing, counseling and other practices individuals learn how to work with their emotions.
-
Social/Behavioral
Trauma impacts the behavioral patterns and lifestyle choices individuals can make. For example, not having healthy coping mechanisms can lead to avoidant behaviors such as alcohol or drug consumption. This pattern can spiral to people choosing to hang out with others who make the same choices.
By utilizing all the practices that we offer and giving individuals the opportunity to look at their lives they get back the control and power to make changes.
-
Spiritual
Connection to some sort of faith is said to be one of the best things that keep people moving forward. It was once said by Guru Jagat: “I talked to a poet once who said those creatives who have taken there lives were so creative, but had a lack of connection to anything”
Sometimes trauma can take such an impact on a person they lose faith. We help you rebuild. that by using different aspects. such as breathing, mantra to connect back to yourself.
